Mindfulness Course

This mindfulness course is designed to help you develop and deepen your own practice of mindfulness, following the teachings of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, to generate happiness and well-being and relieve the stresses and strains of everyday life. This course takes 6 weeks, with one 2-hour session per week.

Throughout the course, you will be encouraged to develop and deepen your own practice of mindfulness, both in the group setting and at home, by learning how to integrate mindfulness into your daily life and consider what will support your ongoing practice. You will have the opportunity to connect with others who are also interested in mindfulness and well-being.

You will have access to resources and support to help you on your journey, including how to find supportive groups and communities (we use the term sanghas). You will be encouraged to cultivate a greater awareness of the present moment, learning how to observe thoughts and emotions without judgement, and practise being fully present in daily life.

You will learn how to cultivate a sense of inner peace and live in harmony with the world around you. You will be encouraged and supported to set realistic personal goals and develop a daily practice.
By the end of the course, you will have a deeper understanding of mindfulness, self-compassion, and interdependence. You will have developed practical skills to manage stress and improve relationships and will have a strong foundation for ongoing personal growth and development. You will be well prepared to participate in sangha activities, as well as further courses, sessions and retreats offered by Plum Village UK.

Pricing

In offering a range of ticket prices we aim to make the course available to as many people as possible. We work on a non-profit basis.

Discounted Rate | £95

For students and participants on a low income that cannot afford the standard rate.

Sponsor Rate | £200

This rate helps us to sustain the course and allow us to offer it to to those on a lower income.

If you are without income and unable to afford a ticket, please contact us here. We are able to offer one supported place per course.

Practical Information

Each week has one 2-hour session during the course of 6 weeks.

Once you choose a date and time your group will meet weekly on that day.

For this course to be most effective, we recommend that you commit to attending all six sessions. Creating stable and solid practice of mindfulness requires requires regular, ideally daily practice.

If you know ahead of time that you cannot make a session, then please discuss with your Course Facilitator to understand the content of the missed session.

You will be using a computer/laptop, iPad, phone or device with internet access, and will need a functioning camera and mic.

You will have the same group during each session.

This is a live, interactive course. Sessions will not be recorded.
