Plum Village, near Bordeaux in southwest France, is the largest international practice centre in the Plum Village tradition, and the first monastic community founded by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh in the West.
Plum Village is where Thay has realised his dream of creating a healthy, nourishing environment where people can learn the art of living in harmony with one another and with the Earth.
Plum Village hosts a range of mindfulness retreats throughout the year, ranging from the focused energy of the Rains Retreat to the festival-like family friendly atmosphere of the annual Summer Opening Retreat.
The EIAB near Cologne in Germany is home to a monastic community and offers a range of practical courses focused around bringing mindfulness into our daily lives.
There is a possibility of a bursary for anyone who would like to attend an event at either Plum Village or EIAB who would otherwise be financially unable to do so. Details of our National Bursary Scheme are on the application form.
The Scheme is intended for people who have been practising for at least 12 months and applications need to be supported by a sangha and/or an Order member.
