“Two thousand five hundred years ago, Shakyamuni Buddha proclaimed that the next Buddha will be named Maitreya, the ‘Buddha of Love.’ I think Maitreya Buddha may be a COMMUNITY and not just an individual. A good community is needed to help us resist the unwholesome ways of our time. Mindful living protects us and helps us go in the direction of peace. With the support of friends in the practice, peace has a chance.”
–Thich Nhat Hanh
The Community of Interbeing (COI) invites UK Sanghas to “register” as affiliated to the COI UK Charity. Affiliated UK Sanghas benefit from shared Public Liability Insurance as ‘Satellite or Regional Groups’, for which the CoI pays an annual fee. Other benefits of registration include the promotion of affiliated UK Sanghas on the Plum Village UK Website. By registering with the COI charity, the Sangha commits to the values of the COI as a charity and the Plum Village practice.
We are inviting Sanghas to make a financial contribution to the COI at the time of annual registration. We have set out some suggested contributions based on Sangha size in the payment form. If the suggestions aren’t appropriate for your Sangha please make a contribution that speaks to your own particular Sangha circumstances. The minimum possible contribution for the automated form below is £1 per annum and it may be that you choose to make this nominal contribution if you are just setting up as a Sangha and don’t yet have regular Sangha members.
Please complete the form below and then press the SUBMIT button to register your Sangha details.
Please note – When the page refreshes, you need to go to the bottom of the page again and and click the “Make Registration Payment” button to make the annual payment.
