Earth as Teacher | Mick McEvoy
Please join us for a special Mindful Morning facilitated by Earth Care Sangha, which will look at the ways in which Mother Earth herself was key to the Buddha’s awakening and how she is our teacher as well as our healer and mother.
We will be joined by guest speaker Mick McEvoy, True Pure Earth (pronouns he/him), an Irish native, who lives, works, and studies in the community of Plum Village, France.
Mick brings over twenty years of experience working with people, plants, and mindfulness practice to his management of the Happy Farm and rewilding projects. The farm welcomes hundreds of retreatants annually and combines mindfulness-based approaches with seasonal organic food production and land stewardship rooted in deep ecology.
The Morning will include meditations, a Q&A session with Mick, and Dharma sharing breakout groups. There will also be a chance to bring together any insights gained in our breakout groups.
Please join us for this nourishing and inspiring Morning of Mindfulness.
On the first Sunday of every month, we offer a Morning of Mindfulness led by UK Lay Dharma Teachers, Members of the Order of Interbeing, Monastic Dharma Teachers and special guests.
The morning will typically include a guided meditation, followed by a talk or panel. After a short break, there will be an opportunity for Dharma sharing in groups.
