How can mindfulness help us bring about a more peaceful, just world?

Amidst the challenges of our times, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and discouraged in the work we do.

This day is specifically for people working on social, environmental and political causes, and anyone in pursuit of a better world.

We will hear from the Plum Village monastics and leading changemakers about how mindfulness and meditation can increase our energy and effectiveness for social transformation.

Drawing on Thich Nhat Hanh’s own experiences in peace-building during the Vietnam War, Plum Village has become renowned for active engagement in responding to the crises of our time. Its approach of “engaged Buddhism” may help us find a path to inner peace that strengthens our capacity to create wholesome change in the world.

This is event is lovingly organised by Wake Up London and open to adults of all ages.
