The retreat runs from 5.00pm on Friday 7th to 4.00pm on Sunday 9th February at the Purley Chase centre.

Please organise your travel plans to allow you to be present for the whole retreat.

The retreat is suitable for those with an established practice and understanding of mindfulness and includes:

– Opportunities to practice guided and silent meditations, including: sitting meditation, walking meditation, mindful eating and noble silence.
– Opportunities to learn from others through dharma sharing and exploration.
– Dharma teaching from Plum Village UK Dharma Teachers Jane Coatesworth and Angie Searle.

Set texts for reflection may be shared with you before the retreat.

The retreat is organised by the Community of Interbeing (COI) / Plum Village UK. The COI is a growing network of people in the UK who practice mindfulness and aspire to develop peace and happiness in ourselves and in the world by living according to the teachings on global ethics of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. His teachings, which can be followed by people of all ages and any religion or none, are notable for their emphasis on joy, engagement in the world, and integrating the practice of mindfulness into daily life. The COI is a registered educational charity offering a programme of courses, retreats and events and encourages and supports local groups that meet to practice mindfulness. We ask anyone coming on our Dharma Training Programme to become a member of the Community of Interbeing. You can join by visiting www.plumvillage.uk/support-us
